Anyone kept the base here but bought somewhere sunnier, and how do you split the year?
Two different clients have suggested this to me in the last month without knowing each other, which is usually a sign I should at least look at it properly. The idea is not to move the business anywhere, only to stop paying city prices for the months when I am on calls regardless of where I am sitting. What stops me is the practical half: whether you end up with two sets of bills and half a life in each place, whether clients notice or care, and whether the second place earns anything at all in the months you are not in it.
