First Year :
If you are a foreign student wishing to study in France, you must first apply for a long-stay student visa (VLS-TS),
valid between 4 months to 1 year. To apply, check whether your country is part of the « Étudier en France » procedure.
Once in France, you must complete the required formalities with OFII within three months of your arrival.
Renewal :
If you wish to continue your studies in France after one year, you can apply for a temporary student residence permit,
valid for one year. You must submit your application within two months before the expiration of your current VLS-TS
by contacting the prefecture of your place of residence.
While your request is being processed, you will receive a receipt (récépissé).
If your application is approved, you will be notified by mail within approximately four months.

OFII - Validation de visa
Since January 1, 2017, as part of the preventive health screening for first-time arrivals wishing to study in France on a long-stay visa*, institutions welcoming international students are required to help organize a "Rendez-vous Santé" (Health Check Appointment). CEBP assists students with this process. However, students are responsible for contacting the OFII** themselves.
